Every woman who heals herself helps heal all the women before...

One of the ways we can bring more of ourselves to the world, ie to our jobs, to our purpose, to our friendships, families and romantic relationships is to focus on and make attempts to heal whatever is incomplete internally.

.

This is also called inner work.

.

Inner work is healing because it supports us in healing what is unfinished emotionally, mentally and spiritually inside us.

.

The cause of the unfinished business doesn't matter as much as the desire to complete it, heal within and step fully into fulfilling your life.

.

It's really easy to get caught up in the "doing" of life to focus our attention on the controversy, drama, politics, catastrophes and worries about the future.

.

AND...what goes on within us, has SO much to do with what shows up around us.

.

Anxiety, frustration and feelings of suffocation, repression and suppression in our lives.

.

Are you committed to your inner work and healing?

.

If you are WHY do you do it? What's your motivation?

.

I stepped into healing and inner work at age 31.

.

It's been 7 years and my WHY has changed over time.

.

Early my motivation was self-focused because I was desperation to relieve emotional pain.

.

Then it was to keep momentum going because I was healing, growing and seeing results. My why was more intrinsic. I felt better and wanted to keep keeping better.

.

Then my WHY shifted to a hunger to create and design a life that was more than just not constantly painful and disappointing. A life that didn't have to be easy all the time, but one that was bright, full of possibilities and fulfilling. Shifted to self-focused motivation again.

.

Today my WHY has an altruistic motivation and the best way I can explain it is through this quote by @drchristianenorthrup

"Every woman who heals herself, helps heal all the women before her and all those who come after her."

.

Healing myself has impact right now and that impact travels to the people ahead of me and the people behind me.
