Clear, direct, self-responsible and open-hearted communication has been up for me in the last couple weeks.


I’ve needed to make communications that felt very uncomfortable but without them I would have felt even more discomfort


I’m proud of myself because I really had no idea how to do this some years ago.


In the past when it came to speaking my truth these were what I thought my options were:


  • say nothing at all

  • say only part of the truth

  • say everything with anger and blame

  • say everything with a “please feel sorry for me” angle


I have a lot of compassion for myself and the way I did it back then.

I didn’t have some important things I have now.


These things being:

  • Increased self-worth

  • Increased self-trust

  • Increased risk-taking

  • Increased responsibility for myself and my experience


These are the fruits of engaging with the challenging work of looking at yourself and committing to healing what hurts or is holding you back inside. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
